Ultrabake Grounding Caps
Purpose
Ultrabake Grounding Caps are designed to mask rectangular tabs; they are effective at masking rectangular grounding or earthing tabs on sheet metal items such as computer cases and PCB holders.
How the product is used
The cap is applied by being pushed over the rectangular tab. The cap is removed by being pulled off. The larger sizes of this cap have a tapered opening which allows the coating material to come close to the inside dimensions of the cap.

Design Features
Dual Purpose - The cap can be used as a plug for small rectangular holes or slots
Tapered opening - Larger sizes have a tapered opening which allows coating to reach the edge of the tab
Flexible - The cap is flexible so it can fit a range of different tabs
Tight Fit - Caps are flexible enough to stretch over tabs and form a tight fit
Reusable - The caps are reusable depending on the application
Color coded - The caps are color coded to ease identification and sorting
Identification - The Shercon name is on the cap
Storage conditions
Items should be stored in dry conditions at an ambient temperature of between 55°F (13°C) and 85°F (30°C). It is important to rotate stock and use the product in the order that it is received.

Custom Sizes
Custom sizes are available of this design. Tooling charges would be applicable to custom sizes. Existing production tools cannot be modified to produce a different length or diameter version of a standard cap.
Colors
Custom colors are available; however, they are subject to a minimum order quantity. It may not be possible to match colors exactly.

Tapes
can be die cut into custom shapes to mask sheet metal components. If a number of Die cut masks are needed for each component a kit of die cut masks can be produced to ensure the component is masked correctly.
