Vinyl Caps
Purpose
Vinyl Caps are designed to mask plain and threaded studs, tube ends and even slotted holes; they will mask off the stud and allow finishing up to it. They are also widely used for protection during transportation.
How the product is used
The cap is applied by being pushed over the stud. It is removed by being pulled off. It can be used as a plug by being inserted into threaded or plain holes. However, on holes we would recommend a plug such as the
GN series of plugs or the
PP series of pull plugs. If the cap is used as a plug it can be pushed into place using a rounded end rod or dowel.
The outside diameter of this cap may vary in size due to the manufacturing process.

Reusable - The caps are reusable depending on the application
Color coded - The caps are color coded to ease identification and sorting
Storage conditions
Items should be stored in dry conditions at an ambient temperature of between 55°F (13°C) and 85°F (30°C). It is important to rotate stock and use the product in the order that it is received.
Material
PS series caps are made from Plastisol. For complete details of the material download the

These products can be used in similar applications.
Ultrabake Caps (SC) can perform a similar function but are made for higher temperatures.
Black Neoprene Plugs (BN) or
Green Neoprene Plugs (GN) can be used to plug holes for applications at a similar temperature.
EPDM Pull Plugs (PP) can be used to plug through holes for applications at a similar temperature.
